she/her/hers
The core value of Flora is to create a comfortable and welcoming space rooted in communication, to meet you where you’re at. Inclusive & individualized care, for all bodies.
Shannon combines her science background with energetically-focused techniques to care for the mind-body connection. Each session is individualized towards the client’s needs with a whole-body, holistic approach. When caring for the perinatal body, she brings her own experience as both a mother and someone who has been on their own fertility journey post birth.
Before becoming a Massage Therapist, Shannon studied science, spent many years farming and taught K-high school students in a variety of settings oriented around mindfulness, movement and nourishment. When she’s not massaging, she spends time with her daughter, grows a bunch of flowers and raises sheep with her partner at Black Earth Grazing!

— Thoughts from a birth client —
I started seeing Shannon for massages a few years ago after having my first daughter. We focused a lot on relaxing and healing. I really felt connected with the abdominal work that she did on me. When I became pregnant with my second daughter I knew that I wanted Shannon there to support me through the birth. Even though I wanted a homebirth with my first I had a c-section at 37 weeks so when I found out I was pregnant again I knew I wanted a homebirth and I knew I wanted Shannon to be there. The timing worked out perfect for both of us and I was so thrilled when I was able to call Shannon to say that I was in labor! There are truly no words to even begin to describe what Shannon did for myself & my family. I felt so held & supported throughout my labor & birth. And beyond that Shannon continued to check in with me & came back to do a postpartum massage. Shannon is very professional, caring, she allows time to check in with you and how you are doing. I would HIGHLY recommend her!
